KEYLESS accepts uncommon species, specialist terms and regional names alongside familiar answers. The lists are finite: a real word may still be missing. Each category explains what belongs.
Parts of the expanded vocabulary are adapted from Open English Wordnet 2025, by the Open English Wordnet team, based on Princeton University WordNet. We selected noun senses and their descendants, filtered category mismatches, normalized listed spellings to A–Z, and combined them with KEYLESS’s original answers and editorial additions.

Country names were checked against the UN Statistics Division’s M49 list, with territories excluded and familiar aliases added. Inclusion of a country name is for game play and does not imply a position on recognition.
The free-space dictionary contains 285,276 entries: word-list 4.1.0 by Sindre Sorhus, derived from the atebits/Words English list, plus A, I, O and KEYLESS’s reviewed category vocabulary. The list is bundled with the game; typing does not send words to a dictionary service. MIT license.
Room and fish categories include selected descriptive shorthand, such as LIVING for LIVING ROOM and CLOWN for CLOWNFISH. Flowers use recognized flower names: SUNFLOWER counts, but SUN alone does not. Each permitted short form maps to a reviewed full name.
